Jayne is a licentiate member of the Royal College of Chiropractors and a member of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association. She is also registered with the General Chiropractic Council.
While studying at McTimoney College of Chiropractic Jayne was introduced to the Activator Method and found an affinity for this technique. Jayne received Activator treatment for her own back pain, which had plagued her for some years and was delighted to see this resolve with a course of this treatment. Finding the treatment to be gentle, relaxing, yet highly effective and wanting to preserve her hands for a long career in chiropractic, Jayne made the decision to undertake further training in the Activator Method. She is now excited to be able to pass on the benefits of this particular chiropractic technique to her patients.
The Activator Method is just one of the very many different techniques that chiropractors can use to bring relief to people with musculoskeletal pain. The technique has been used safely on patients of all ages since the late 1960s. The Activator instrument we use is an electronic or spring-loaded handheld tool that delivers a controlled and consistent, low-force, high-speed thrust, which reduces the risk of human error. Because it is many times faster than adjustments delivered by hand, the body rarely tightens to resist, making adjustments comfortable and effective. The Activator Method is a ‘no crack’ technique that has a gentle approach, which is ideal for all ages.
